St. Clement's Parish School

The idea of creating a parish school dedicated to the spiritual, physical, and academic growth of children was first conceived by the Reverend Robert T. Gibson. He, along with interested parents and parishioners, envisioned a school that would be an outreach of The Church of St. Clement, offering well-rounded preparatory learning experiences. After a year of study and planning, in 1958 St. Clement’s Parish School was granted an educational charter as an independent, non-profit school by the State of Texas. The school began its initial year with six faculty members, two kindergarten classes, and first, second, and third grade classes in the basement of the church building. Today, the school serves 418 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade classes. The campus facilities have expanded and a new academic building is currently under construction.

The school has a strong record of offering a wide variety of core academic and enrichment courses. Students have opportunities to be involved in athletics, hiking and camping, speech and drama, vocal and instrumental music, art, and journalism activities. They also learn a foreign language and develop advanced technology skills. They gain an understanding of the Christian faith through worship in chapel and through service outreach to others in the El Paso and Juarez communities. All of these learning and life-enriching experiences provide a strong preparatory foundation of knowledge for the children to build on as they progress to higher levels of their education.
