Creel Mission Trip

Missions exist because worship does not. We have the awesome privilege of coming together on Sundays as a church fellowship here at St. Clement because at some point in the past someone was a missionary who told your ancestors about Jesus.

Jesus is calling you to do the same thing. Jesus commands us to go. Have you gone yet? This summer, July 19-25, 2008, we will again be journeying to Creel, Mexico, to work with Henk and Edit Kaemingk among the Tarahumara Indians in the Copper Canyon. Last year we went in the summer and were able to help them with the construction of a badly needed wall, and go up into the mountains to minister at a Tarahumaran church with a VBS. It was an incredible trip!

If you have never been on a short term mission trip before, this is the perfect trip for you. If you want to respond to God's call on us for missions, please call Rick Milliorn, 521-8078, or Yeadon Smith, 521-8048.  We look forward to following Jesus with you.

Please read below about last summer's trip!

43 parishioners went for a week this summer to work with the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Ministry Center in Creel, Mexico, located in the Copper Canyon.  The group helped around the Ministry Center doing construction work, pouring concrete at what will be a meeting hall, did road work, built a wall around the property, and helped with agricultural work.  They also did a Vacation Bible School with the Tarahumara Indian children in a village called San Luis Majimachi, where the missionaries have been ministering for many years.  On Sunday they worshiped with the Indians and then shared a lunch with them.  Everyone felt their time was well spent, and as is invariably the case with short term outreaches, there was a sense that a stronger Christian bond among the participants was being established.  It was a blessing to participate in the excellent and faithful work of the YWAM missionaries who have been serving the people in that part of Mexico for some 17 years.
